Dr. Peter Jensen Jr.

Dr. Peter Aagaard Jensen Jr., age 85, passed away on June 1, 2014, in his home in Daytona Beach, FL. Peter was born on October 23, 1928 in Boston, MA to the late Peter and Mabel Jensen. He and his late sister, Ethel, grew up in Cambridge, MA. He graduated from Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge in 1946. He served in the Air Force from 1946-1949 where he worked in the special weapons division. He attended college at Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, MA from 1949-1953 where he met and married Ruth Doellner. He received his B.S. degree in Medical Technology at Loma Linda University in CA in 1954. He worked as a researcher before entering dental school at Loma Linda University and received a D.D.S. degree in 1960. "Dr. Pete" practiced as a dentist in Norwich and Mystic, CT from 1960-1962. He then moved to Hudson, MA where he worked as a dentist in the town of Marlborough from 1962-1996 when he retired. He was active in the Hudson Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Meadowbrook Adventist School. Following retirement, he and Ruth moved to Daytona Beach, FL in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Susan McGraw, Saundra Merriman, Stacey Johlman and their husbands; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 27 from 5 - 8 pm at Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson, MA (www.tighehamilton.com). A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 29 at 1 pm in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 94 Marlboro St., Hudson, MA. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Hudson Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 94 Marlboro St., Hudson, MA 01749 with "Peter Jensen" written in the memo.
