Dear Ned, Marianne, Carol & Mary,
My heart is sad at your loss. I have great memories of all of you befriending me when I was a college kid away from home for the 1st time. I enjoyed Phil's company whether it was a fancy dinner or an ice cream stop. I loved talking politics & newspapers with him. Your dad always treated me with acceptance, kindness & friendly humor. I'll remember him with fondness. Love always, Liza

He had a great energy. My dad led a somewhat 'charmed' life, even in his leaving of it. We loved him well.

I'm very sorry to hear the news. My sister sent an e-mail. I only have good memories of Phil, and I feel sad today. Goes back a long time, must be 38-39 years or so. Political parties, Fenway park.
love and strength to you all.
