Sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad and I were good friends from way back on 4th st when Uncle Bob was alive and my partner on the Police Dept. Your grandfather was also a good friend and the stories I could tell you about your Dad, Grandfather, & your Uncle would make you laugh. We can save the stories for another time. Hoggie took Neal under his wing, when he first started on the FD. I know how much that meant to Neal, to have Steve show him the ropes.

Steve is pain free and at peace after a long fight. I am so proud of him for the battle he waged, and I'm so proud of you for the battle you waged with him and the battle you waged for him when he just couldn't do it anymore. Pamela, Jason, Eric and Stacey, The news of Stephens passing brings me such great sadness. He was without question one of the nicest people I have ever known. I first met him when he was on 4th St and you kids were just kids. I was a young unwed mother and he went out of his way to be a great neighbor. He would carry my groceries up to 3rd floor for me and shovel for me when is snowed. I know your pain is deep but please find comfort in knowing that God has prepared a very special place for him in heaven and you will see him again. God Bless You.
