Tomassena J. Marchetti

Tomassena J. Marchetti , 85, of Ashland, passed away, Wednesday, March 3rd, at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Beneditto and Anna (Iarussi) Ottaviani and wife of the late Ferucio Pat Marchetti, who died in 1983. A resident of Ashland for 63 years, Mrs. Marchetti worked as a hairdresser at Studio D in Holliston for 25 years. She was a member of St. Cecilias Church in Ashland and loved cooking for her family and crocheting. She is survived by two children, Anne Connolly and her husband Joseph of Ashland and Raymond Marchetti and his wife Sandra of Framingham; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters; Rita E. Mancini, and Dolores Lavin and her husband Robert; two brothers; Beneditto Ottaviani and his wife Margaret, and Vincent Trincia, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louis Ottaviani. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilias Church in Ashland, with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. in Ashland.
