TROY - Billy Joe Wright, age 83, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born on March 27, 1942, in Covington.
Billy is survived by his wife of 48 years: Barbara Sue (Fogt) Wright; children: Holly (David) Osborne and Scott Wright, both of Troy; and grandchildren: Taylor Schneider of Sidney and Matthew Schneider of Troy.
Billy was a graduate of Bradford High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy and US Army, including two tours in Vietnam. Billy was employed at Crown Cork & Seal in Moraine, as a machinist and Plant Manager, before retiring from F & P America in 2015.
He was a welder of garden art. Billy also enjoyed restoring old cars and spending time with his grandkids.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his grandson: "For the Benefit of Matthew Schneider" C/O Fifth Third Bank. Condolences may be made to the family at www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
