PIQUA — Guy L. Baker, 76, of Piqua, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:21 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 4, 1940 in Huntington, W.Va., to the late James M. and Bessie (Pelfrey) Baker. He married Deloris J. Bailey on Nov. 24 1962, in Huntington, W.Va., and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Ricky L (Jenny) Baker of Troy, Rodney (Amber) Baker of Piqua; two daughters, Becky Baker of Piqua, Beverly Stafford of Wapakoneta; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willard (Betty) Baker of Huntington, W.Va., Carl Baker of Ripley, W.Va.; and a sister, Louise (Hubert) Fuller of Huntington, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Baker was a graduate of Barbersville High School in West Virginia. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a self-employed flooring installer for many years. He was an active member of the Piqua Apostolic Temple and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, who he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the Piqua Apostolic Temple with the Rev. Daniel Hathaway officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Piqua Apostolic Temple, 830 Covington Ave., Piqua, OH 45356.

I'm so sorry to hear of Guy's passing. He was such an honest businessman. He was so easy to talk with and had such a friendly attitude all of the time. He placed many floors in my house and my Mom's (Norma Boryca). He was an awesome craftsman! My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. God Bless You! Carol Jenkins
