PIQUA - Sandra J. Bettelon, 70, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 12:09 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Kettering Health Piqua.
She was born February 1, 1951 in Piqua to the late Joseph and Eleanor (Schultz) Loughlin. She married Gregory "Tank" Bettelon December 8, 1972 in Piqua and he preceded her in death March 20, 2020.
Survivors include two children, James (Rhonda White) Bettelon and Carrie (Cliff) Makris all of Piqua; six grandchildren, Jayden (Jordan) McIntosh, Trinity Bettelon, Aalyiah Bettelon, Sebastian Bettelon, Ricky (Brittany Current) White, and Brent (Lyssa Combs) White; five great-grandchildren, Taron, Baylor, Jax, Haiden, and Xander; a brother, Joseph (Marty) Loughlin; her mother-in-law, Janice Bettelon; and her brother-in-law, Eric (Tambi) Bettelon; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bettelon was a graduate of Piqua Central High School Class of 1970. She was a longtime, faithful member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene and loved her church family as well. Sandra enjoyed arts and crafts of all varieties; she seemed to have a new project every week. She enjoyed going to farmer's markets, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always active in some way and always smiling, she will surely be missed.
A service to honor Sandra and Tank's lives will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Rollison officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home also on Saturday. Burial will take place at Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4540 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati OH 45242. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
