Charles Virant Obituary
Charles Albert Virant (known as Chuck), born April 16, 1952, passed away on July 14, 2024, after a short battle with colon cancer. He was born to the late Charles and Clara (Jarmusevich) Virant in Detroit, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved daughter, Jennifer Virant, sister Cynthia Drozdzewski, and brother Christopher Virant.
Chuck is survived by the love of his life, devoted wife of nearly 52 years, Marilyn (Hilton), and his cherished daughters: Dawn (Doron) Eisenscher, Kimberly (Darrell) Howery, and Deborah (Jerry) Young. He also leaves behind his only living sibling, Claudia (John) Watson. Chuck leaves behind a loving legacy in his grandchildren: Asha (Chris) Riley, A.J. (Kayla) McKinney, Isabel and Ami Eisenscher, and Charlie and Ellie Young, as well as his first great-grandchild, Monsa' McKinney.
Chuck dedicated his life to his family and his country, upholding values of dedication, determination, loyalty, and love in everything he did and taught his daughters and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, service, commitment, and passion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Chuck will be resting at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, located at 7707 Middlebelt Road In Westland MI on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
He will lie instate at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelist Church, 4470 Washington St., Ubly, MI until the time of his funeral mass 12:00 p.m. Chuck will be laid to rest at St. John 's Cemetery, 4150 Ubly Road, Ubly, MI 48475
