Clarence White Obituary

Clarence Herbert White, 82, of Middletown, husband of the late Patricia (Perret) White, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, at Middlesex Hospital.
Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Agnes E. (Mantel) White.
Clarence lived all his life in Middletown and was a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity. He worked at the Connecticut Humane Society as an accountant, was a member of B.P.O.E., Middletown Lodge No. 771, enjoyed bowling and was a diehard Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his nephew, Gary Younken and his wife, Dottie and his grand nephew, Gary Shumbo, all of Middletown.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, South Main Street, Middletown, with the Rev. Margaret H. Minnick officiating.
There will be no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Clarence's memory to The Church of the Holy Trinity Alter Fund, 381 Main St., Middletown, CT 06457.
Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com. The Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church St., Middletown, is handling the arrangements.

I was sorry to hear about Clarence. I have many memories of our childhood on Warwick Street as we lived next door to him. At Middletown High we were in the same home room and as a cousin with the same last name we sat side of each other for the four years.
Enjoyed visits with Pat and Clarence in later years.
