Daniel Pattee Obituary
Daniel William Pattee (66) passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022 at his home in Rumford, Maine. Dan was born in Middletown, CT to the late Elizabeth and Floyd Pattee. He was raised in Haddam, CT until he moved to Maine in the early 1990s and became a Maine "ite". Dan graduated from Middletown High School in 1974, then earned a degree in business from Central CT State University. In his early years, he was a banker but always gravitated back to the restaurant business-bartending and at times cooking.
Living in Maine, he realized that he loved the mountains and rivers. White Water Rafting was one of his passions, second only to Rescue Animals, especially cats. He treasured his "fur babies." He also loved sports, a lifelong Yankee and Pittsburg Steeler fan; difficult when you live in Red Sox and Patriot country! He followed the UConn Men and Women's Basketball teams and often posted his enthusiasm for his home state teams!
Dan touched a lot of lives and had a ton of friends he accumulated over his life, but none more important than a core group of "4 brother's" growing up in Haddam. He will be missed and not forgotten. Dan is survived by his sisters, Maurine Darling (David), Diane Pattee of Middletown CT, Gini Treadwell (Bill) of VT, Sherrill Pattee of CO, Trish Kaik (Gene) of Haddam; a brother, David Pattee of NC; and former partner, Susan Holt of Rumford, ME. Arrangements are private and being handled by Meader & Son funeral home of Rumford, Maine. Memorial contributions, in Dan's memory, can be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice or to Cat Tales in Middletown.

So many great memories with my partner in crime . Dan could make me laugh in my most difficult days. He loved to make all his friends laugh and even strangers. He was definatly one of a kind who I miss immensely . He loved his kitties more then himself . Dan had a huge heart especially when it came to rescuing a kitty in need of even if not. Forever in my heart.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of Danny. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. I knew him in CT and shared good times when he lived in San Diego at the same time I did. Memories and pics of Danny shopping at swap meets and having fun at Over the Line tournaments make me smile. We just connected again and had great chats. He was truly a great, caring friend. I'm sure the animals in heaven have another incredible caretaker watching over them. RIP My Friend, I will miss you.

My condolences the the Pattee family, Dan was a good friend for many years shared his travels to Virginia, San Diego and ultimately Maine many great times together. So so sorry to hear of his passing but when I think of him going forward I know those memories will make me smile. RIP brother
