Dolores M. Mazzarella, 98, of Higganum, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born Sept. 3, 1925 in New Britain, CT, she was the daughter of the late Aldo and Marie (Misteri) Veronesi. Dolores was a long-time resident of Higganum and a parishioner of St. Peter Church. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Mazzarella, her son, Thomas Mazzarella, her daughter, Lynda Mazzarella, and also by all of her siblings. She is survived by her grandchildren, Britany Blau, Eric Blau and his wife Julia Blau, and their children, Grayson and Gwendolyn Blau. She is also survived by her nephews, Ricky and Andy Agostinucci and Jerry Veronesi. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, March 8th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Church, in Higganum, with burial to follow in Burr Cemetery, in Higganum. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations made to the Alzheimer's Association ( Alz.org ). To leave online condolences, please visit www.spencerfuneralhomeinc.com .

I was so sorry to hear of Del´s passing.
She was a wonderful kind woman who will be sorely missed by those who knew her. I´m sure that she has connected with those who have predeceased her. Her legacy of kindness will long be remembered.

I have known Dell for many years. The storms had a cottage at the very end of her road. I would visit her. I stopped by a while ago and left a note. So sorry to hear. She was a joy. Linda and I were buds growing up and also billy. Theresa Strom custer 860-873-9424
