Ellen Lentini Obituary

Ellen (Lausier) Lentini
Ellen (Lausier) Lentini, 85, of Middletown, beloved wife of Joseph S. Lentini, entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, passing peacefully at home, surrounded by the embrace of her loving family. Ellen was born in Grand Isle, Maine, daughter of the late Lawrence and Edna (Sirois) Lausier. She moved to Middletown with her family as a young girl and made it her lifelong home, graduating proudly from Middletown High School, Class of 1960. Her high school years were especially meaningful to her, as she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime and remained a constant source of joy. It was during those years that she met the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Joe. They shared 62 wonderful years of marriage, building a life grounded in deep love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to their family. Ellen lived a life centered on love, family, and service. She was her children's greatest supporter, rarely missing a game, meet, or event, cheering from the sidelines with unwavering pride. In the 1970s, she devoted countless hours to youth sports in Middletown and was instrumental in helping advance and strengthen local programs, creating opportunities for many young athletes. Her devotion only grew as her family expanded. She was a proud and devoted "Meme" to her grandchildren, faithfully attending their school activities and sporting events, always cheering them on with the same enthusiasm she had shown her own children. She helped care for them throughout the years, offering steady love, guidance, comfort, and lavish meals. Being their Meme was one of her greatest joys, and they were the light of her life. She was widely known as an authentic and talented cook, expressing her love through delicious meals that brought family and friends together around her table. Her home was the heart of everything-a warm, welcoming place where laughter and dance lived. She had a rare gift for making you feel not just special, but deeply valued and irreplaceable - wrapped in a love that remains timeless. Before her retirement, Ellen worked in construction as a proud member of LiUNA Local 547, a role she carried with strength and determination. Earlier in her career, she worked at the Lord Cromwell Restaurant, served as a dispatcher for the Middletown Police Department, and worked as a real estate agent, building many lasting connections along the way. She was also a devoted communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, where her faith remained a steady and guiding presence throughout her life. Ellen's greatest accomplishment was the family she nurtured and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the values she instilled, the countless memories made around her table, and on the sidelines and in the bleachers of so many games. She leaves behind a family strengthened by her devotion and a community better because she was part of it. Her love will continue to guide and surround them always. Ellen is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; her son, Joe Lentini and his wife, Gina, of Middletown; her daughter, Karen Radziewicz and her husband, Paul, of Middletown; and her grandchildren: Joey Lentini and his wife, Amanda, and Julia, Jenna, and Jack Lentini, and Jacob and Lucas Radziewicz. She is also survived by her precious great-grandson, Carter Lentini; her brother, Rodney Ouellette of Middletown; her sister, Verna Ellam of Middletown; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandson, Lawrence Lentini, and her sister, Ann Marie Gardner. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 5th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, March 6th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Middletown. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
