Emanuele Marino, age 89, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on May 5th, surrounded by family. Born on October 16th, 1935, in Melilli, Sicily, he was the beloved son of Sebastian Marino and Ignazia Marchese. Emanuele was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He worked for the International Silver Company in Meriden, CT. He was also an employee of the City of Middletown as a painter. He had a passion for gardening, spending time with his grandkids, and loved making homemade wine. Emanuele is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elena; his children, Mary Lou, Sebastian and wife Lisa, Anthony, and Stephen; and six grandchildren, Taylor, Lindsey, Maya, Sophia, Emma, and Sarah. He is also survived by his siblings, Angela Munno, Joseph Marino, Stella and husband Michael Feehan. He was predeceased by his parents, Sebastian and Ignazia.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 9 a.m. from the Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church, Middletown. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian's Cemetery, Middlefield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 12th from 4 to 6 p.m.
