It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lea Joel (Singleton) Monarca, 51, of Huger, South Carolina, on April 18, 2025.
Lea was born on January 9, 1974, in New Britain, CT, to the late Kathleen (Haze) Larkspur and the late Gilbert Calvin Singleton. Lea had a long career working for the State of Connecticut. Most recently, she worked for Yard Works in South Carolina.
Lea loved music, going to concerts, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She participated in many charitable fitness events. Whatever the occasion, she always prepared the best horderves and desserts.
Lea was an incredible wife and adoring mother to her daughter. She was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. If you wanted an honest answer, just ask Lea.
Lea is survived by her loving husband, Salvatore; and their beautiful daughter, Dalaina; two sisters, Suzi and Rachel; she also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her; including her beloved dogs, Squeaky and 2Shey.

A private memorial will take place at a later date.
