Lori Daniels Obituary

Daniels, Lori Marica
On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Lori Ann Marica Daniels, age 59, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle against lung cancer. Lori was born on July 3, 1961 in Middletown, CT. On September 14, 2002 Lori married the love of her life, Roy Daniels, and they shared 18 beautiful years together in Pawcatuck, CT. Lori dedicated her career to a company that she loved and treasured, Ciel, Inc.
Lori's motto was 'Life is Better in Flipflops' and she cherished time spent with her family at Lake Winnipesaukee and vacations with her husband to the Caribbean. Lori was an avid reader and loved collecting penguin memorabilia. Lori's happiness was contagious and she was the most selfless and caring person that anyone could have met. She touched so many lives throughout hers and left a lasting impact on her friends and family.
Lori is survived by her husband, Roy, her step-daughters and their husbands, Jessica and Bryan Rego and Stephanie and Jeremy Blais, and her five beloved grandchildren, Marcus, Nolan, Bridget, Harper, and Ben. She is also survived by her parents Rudy and Helen Marica; her brother Joey Marica whose wife Lee is deceased; her brother and his wife Jeffrey and Lauren Marica, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2021. Lori wishes to spend eternity at the lake, so her ashes will be laid to rest near Lake Winnipesaukee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LUNGevity Foundation to support the ongoing fight against lung cancer. For every penguin you encounter, may it bring a smile to your face in remembrance of Lori.

I have recently gone through photos and I came across such a cute picture of Lori at three or four all decked out in her Easter outfit. She is often in my thoughts.

I met Lori many years ago, when I first began using Ceil for services. That business relationship grew into a friendship. I allways enjoyed seeing her at her work, and occasionally at Stop and Shop. She will be remembered fondly.

My condolences to Lori's family. The Maricas were one of our neighbors when we moved to Haddam in the late 60's. They became friends and I will always treasure the happy times.

I have a wonderful memory of Lori telling me about her first blind date with Roy. She took her own car in case it didn’t work out so she could leave. And Roy did the same thing!

My condolences to Roy and his family as well as Rudy and Helen, Lori was a dear friend for many years here in higganum we shared many great memories at all the river days events here in town. She always was full of the joys of life. That special trait of hers is something we could use more of these days. Godspeed my friend

In loving memory of a wonderful person. My favorite memory is when I worked at Pratt. She was 13 and I was 18 and she waved me off to work. We will love you and miss you always. You may be gone but you will truly be missed!!

What a beautiful tribute. Lori was my best friend, I would always call her Poopsie (that was her nickname in high school). My memories of our lives will be cherished, and there are so many. My heart will always be with you, Lori. Rest in peace until we meet again, and then we shall dance. All my love, Lolly
