It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger M. Crete of Durham, CT. He died Monday, October 14, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. Roger was born in Saint Malo, Quebec, Canada June 5, 1938 the son of the late France and Blanche (Hebert) Crete. He is survived by his loving wife Dora B. (Santaw) Crete, they were just two weeks from their 67th anniversary. He is also survived by his daughters, Cheryl A. Goodrich (Roger), and Roseanne M. Crete, his grandson Wesley Jenkins and his wife Jill, and great-granddaughter, Nova, who brought him much joy. He is also survived by his brother, Adrien Crete of Nashua, NH, his sisters, Cecile Salonia of Westerly, RI, and Yolanda Wheeler of Concord, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Carol Anne, his sister Hermance Paige, of Canaan, VT, his brothers, Edgar, Gauthier, Gilles, Leander, Paul, and Robert Crete. Roger was an operating engineer with I.U.O.E. local 478 for more than 50 years and with his brothers Lee and Paul ran Crele Const. Landclearing. If you drive on Rt.s 91,9,8, or most other highways in the northeast you can bet they cleared for them. He loved golf, fishing, playing cards, and all his beloved dogs. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Burial will be private with no services. Thanks to all for heartfelt visits, calls, food, and thoughts and prayers.
