People sometimes wonder if they've ever made a difference in someone's life. Mr. Sneed and his incredible family sure made a positive impact on mine. I was incredibly blessed to be around them at a very pivotal time in my life. Later on, as a police officer, I could still hear him guiding my decisions. His kindness, wisdom and humor not only guided me, but it continued in how I treated others. My heart aches for his family and their loss. I cherish all my memories, and hope your memories of loving times quickly replace the pain of your loss. Thank you Mr. Sneed. I hope I made you proud.

Bill Sneed was one of the best friends anyone could have had. In 1987, I met Bill and he made a profound impact on my life and career. Our friendship lasted up until the day he was called home. Over the years Bill and I remained great friends and would talk over the phone almost on a weekly basis. It saddens my heart to lose such a great friend. I will always hold near and dear to my heart the great friendship that Bill and I had. He will be sorely missed. I want to send my condolences to the family and to his daughters I want to thank you for allowing me to speak with him before his going home. I will always remember Bill and cherish our lifetime of friendship and I want to let you know that if there's anything that you need going forward, please contact me. To his daughters, my phone crashed and I no longer have your number(s). Please contact me at 210 952-1464 so that I can regain having your contact information. Always, Charles Brown

To Bill's Family:
Bill was a true friend. I will cherish the memories of our card games. Bill was the professor of setback. His tenacity surfaced when it was time to determine who the partners would be. He would explain that the selection of partners was a random event and was based on luck or the lack of it. If Bill were dealt a high card, he would make sure that I was dealt a low card, translation we were not going to be partners. This strategy was truly a play of genius on Bill's part. May I say to Bill's family, yes he was a good setback player but more importantly he was an exceptional human being. He was friendly, honest and kind. To his card playing buddies he was a stabilizing factor. He served as the psycharist of the setback group. He knew how to laugh and he made us laugh too, sometimes to the point where we would forget what we were doing. What a strategy that was on his part.
Bill was a family man. He would always refer to and speak about how very lucky he was to have had a loving wife and five wonderful daughters who provided him with his wonderful grandchildren. He was so proud of his five daughters and would always share their successes.
I consider myself fortunate to have known Bill and to have the friendships that the card games provided. The world is a better place because of Bill. He touched the lives of many and will be missed very, very much. He was an exceptional person.

To the Family of William Sneed,
Please accept the sympathy of Ruby and Lawrence Watkins of Bridgeport, Ct., We were introduced to Sonny and his family back in the early 1970's and have been graciously received by his family a number of times since, and as recently as at a family wedding in New Orleans in August of 2018. It was a pleasure to have communicated with him and his family once again.
May "Sonny" Rest in Peace

Family of Bill Sneed,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of one of my childhood mentors, Bill. I have so many fond memories growing up in Middletown with my family having frequent visits to the Sneed home for dinner after church. I played many basketball & baseball games with Bill and the "Social Ghents" growing up under their care & guidance. Thanks Bill for all the great memories you gave me and I will never forget all your advice when needed. Rest in Peace my friend, well done.
May the good Lord be with the family at such a time as this.
