I am sorry to hear of Beth's passing. I was a student in her French classes back in the early 70's at Lehman High School. We had a lot of fun back in those days. She will be missed.

Tony, Jay, Ryan, Kristen, Liz, Karl,

My deepest sympathy toyou on the loss of your most precious wife and mother.

Beth was a special friend. I have so many memories of so many fun (and funny) times with Beth. She could turn any dull day into an exciting one. She had a heart of gold. She was so funny. She was so generous. She was so Irish. She was so intelligent. She had an unbelievable memory. She was a wonderful cook and gracious entertainer. She was an Arrowhead Club Champion. Her Irish brain truly worked differently than my German brain but it never stopped us from having a truly wonderful friendship.

Besides being a special friend who shared her life in a way that always made me feel good about mine, Beth taught me so much. Three things that I will always remember about Beth are threeof her beliefs that she lived by...and these are...

"The More the Merrier!" Whether socializing or working, Beth showed her love for people by always including everyone. It didn't matter how rich or poor or smart or dumb or old or young, she never wanted to leave anyone out.

"What they are doing Aint Working" so let's try something else. This was Beth's approach to working with special needs students. Her left brained ideas may have raised a few German eyebrows but many times she was successful by trying a different and unconventional approach.

"Just like everyone looks different on the outside, they're all different on the inside." Beth had such an open minded and accepting way of looking at people. This one has probably had the biggest impact on me and hopefully I have grown to be much more accepting of differences.

Beth was a very special friend who taught me so much and whose memories I will cherish forever. Rest in Peace Dear Friend. I am going to miss you. Love you forever, Jane

Betherbear was in many ways a mother figure for me, as I'm sure she was for many that she was able to touch throughout her life. She welcomed me into her home and family as one of her own, authentically and without hesitation. Her generosity with her heart showed no bounds and I'll always cherish many of the great memories we had together - football games, holidays at the Frierotts over college breaks, Napa, gals shopping trips in Ohio, Minster Octoberfests, and best yet, she always managed to embrace the moment with joy and gratitude. I owe so much to Beth, the best I can do is try to honor her legacy through kindness and empathy.

My heart goes out to Tony, Jay, Ryan, and Liz ~ praying for you all during this time.

So sorry Tony. Our thoughts are with you. We are out of town and will not be able to attend the service. Beth will always be one of my favorite people as she taught me how to properly prepare a steak. You may not know that but it happened on your birthday in 1973 or 1974.

I was so sad to learn of Beth's passing. I will forever think of her as Madame Frierott. She was my high school French teacher in St. Marys and ignited a passion in me for French that I still have today. Later on I taught her son French in Minster, and she accompanied my class on my first trip to France. She will always live in my memories. My sympathy to her family.
