Frances "Frannie" Isabelle Troutman, 84, of Burlington died Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born February 6, 1941, in Wever, she was the daughter of Joseph and Isabelle "Izzy" Hull Patton. She married Richard "Dick" Troutman on Nov. 8, 1959.
Frannie taught several students piano and organ in her home for many years. She was a member of West Burlington Christian Church and the Rebekah Circle as was the church organist and pianist for many years.
Even though she was 4'11", she drove a semi along with her husband cross country for a few years. She hosted four foreign exchange students, Lisbeth from Denmark, Rosana from Brazil, Javier from Mexico and Mark from Germany. She loved her family and especially loved producing beautiful music.
She is survived by her husband Richard "Dick" Troutman; three children, Penny (Jeff) Furnald, Gwen (Danial) Wixom and Wade Troutman; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and one brother Dave (Theresa) Patton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard "Rick" Joseph Troutman and sister Joanie Axel.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends. Rebekah Services will be held at 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at West Burlington Christian Church. Mr. John Griffith will officiate. Burial will be held in Claypoole Cemetery, rural Wever, Iowa.
