Michael Gregory Obituary

Michael James Gregory, 70, of Fort Madison, passed away at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison.

He was born on June 13, 1955 in Norfolk, Neb. to James T. and Norma J. Haffner Gregory. He was a former member of Harmony Bible Church and enjoyed playing cards, reading, listening to music and watching movies.

Mike is survived by two daughters: Michelle (John) Flannery of Davenport and Melody (Shawn) Fitzgerald of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Jacob Fitzgerald and Haleigh Fitzgerald; a brother, Tom (Maria) Gregory of Fort Madison and two sisters: Katherine Gregory and Julie Gregory, both of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Scott Gruening officiating. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. A memorial has been established in Mike's memory.
