Marilyn Ann Schwaderer Obituary

Marilyn Ann Schwaderer

MISSOULA - Marilyn Ann Schwaderer passed away December 17, 2023. She was born in 1943 in Potlatch, Idaho, to Orion and Esther Heath. She attended Missoula County High School, and as a young woman she worked at St. Patrick Hospital and Community Hospital in the laundry and kitchen.

In 1965, she married William Schwaderer, and they were happily married for 49 years until Bill's passing in 2014. When asked her advice on a successful marriage, she said, "Be kind to each other."

Marilyn is survived by daughter Dawn Schwaderer; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Matt Thiel; sister Sara Lustgraaf; sister and brother-in-law Tammy and Dave Engle; and her faithful friend of over 50 years, Pam Chinske. Marilyn was a wonderful wife and mother and was as wise as she was gentle.

She gave generously to many charities and kept a list of people she prayed for earnestly, including people she just met in passing. She had the gift of contentment and took great pleasure in the small, quiet, beautiful, and hopeful things of everyday life. She had a restful presence and a calming spirit.

Marilyn was resilient, practical, observant, sweet-tempered, patient, humble, and kind. The joy of the Lord was her strength.
