Gary Jendersee Obituary

Gary Jendersee, 72, of Mt. Vernon, SD, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at his home under hospice care in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, from 5-7:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Blooming Valley Cemetery in rural Corsica, SD. Gary Lee Jendersee was born September 16, 1952, in Parkston, SD, as the oldest child to Lawrence L. and Eyelyn I. (Moke) Jendersee. Gary served in the National Guard from 1970-1976. Once he returned home to Mt. Vernon, SD, he worked as a farm hand for more than 40 years. Gary never married or had children, but he helped raise his nieces and nephews. Gary is survived by his nieces, Dixie (Presten) Graves Jones and April (Fiancé Anthony) Vogel; nephew, Jason (Bobby Jo) Hohn, Lena Knight, James (Laura) Fisher, Arrianna Jones, Phoenix Jones, Izabella (Matthew) Walker, Corbin Hohn, Amilia Hohn, Ellsie Hohn, Shyanne Maddox, Lily Beth Maddox (Fiancé Timothy Coughlin), and Scotty Vogel; great nieces and nephews, Daniel Parker, Hunter Parker, Addison Parker, Dante Fisher, Venelope Becker, Addisyn Becker, Marshall Walker, Mazikeen Winters, Lily Anne Coughlin, and Melia Coughlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, James R. Jendersee and Darla J. Coffey. Special thanks to Derek Wermers and Miranda McClary for helping Gary.
