Alan Wing Obituary
Feb. 28, 1972 ~ Sept. 21, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Alan announces his unexpected passing on Sept. 21, 2018 in Coachella, CA, at age 46.
Alan was born and grew up in Turlock, CA. He attended Turlock Christian School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1990 and the Univ. of Nevada Las Vegas William F. Harrah College of Hospitality with a B.A. degree in hotel administation in 1995. He worked for several years in the hotel industry including the marketing dept. of the Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, CA. He also worked in the insurance industry as well as the stock brokerage industry at T.D. Waterhouse in Southern California.
Alan loved and studied music and very much enjoyed playing guitar, both acoustic and electric, and piano. He performed in bands in high school, and in Las Vegas and San Diego.
Alan is survived by his mother Sharon "Sherrie" Wing of Turlock, CA; father, Dr. Gerald Wing and step-mother Marianne Wing of Pine Grove, CA; brother Bruce Wing of Carpinteria, CA; step-sister Julie Hohenberger of Turlock, CA; his grandparents were John & Leona Wing, and Rev. Joy and Louise Cummings of Turlock.
Alan was pre-deceased by his cousin, Blake Green, son of Ted & Sheryl Green of Denair, CA. He has a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and long time friends for whom he was very fond.
He certainly is very missed by all who knew him. Alan was a believer and rested in the knowledge that true peace would be his in God's presence.
If desired, donations can be made to UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hospitality or The Modesto Gospel Mission.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Hello, I just thought of Alan the other day, interesting this message then popped up to remember him on this condolence page. Always fond memories of his kindness and smile and he was such an interesting person to talk with. I can´t remember what it was the other day that made me think of him - maybe he was looking down from heaven.

Dear Alan, to you where you are above with our Heavenly Father, and to your family and friends who will hold you dear in their hearts until we meet again.
Since your passing, I have had many moments thinking about you. Your life cut short stirs emotion which is difficult to explain. The heart asks Why. I have had times of reflection, on you, on my own life.
I think of your family. Your friends. Those who knew you. Although we were young when we knew each other, I imagine you would have been a beautiful soul on this earth, with whoever you came in contact with.
You will not be forgotten. And the light you shined for your short time here will never cease.
On this day of remembrance of your life, best to all who remember you.
