Riverbank, California - Anna Elaine Hiebert (Bandcroft), age 92, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Hughson, California, with family at her side.
Born on April 11, 1933, in Round Hill, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Elaine dedicated her life to the care and service of others. She graduated in 1954 from the Halifax Children's Hospital Nursing School in Nova Scotia. Embarking on a new chapter with a group of friends, she moved to Modesto, California, where she began her nursing career at Scenic General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, Elaine's compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on those she cared for.
Elaine is lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Decker; her son Michael Hiebert; and her grandchildren Johnny Decker, Ronald Gilman, Tonya Brinkman, and Krystal Decker.
Those who knew her will remember not only her devotion to family but also the spunky sense of humor that brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.
A life marked by kindness and strength, Elaine's memory will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

So sorry for your loss. Elaine was my nursing school classmate class of 1951. We started our adventure to California from Nova Scotia together in 1956. She will be missed.
