December 26, 1932 - June 11, 2012
Arlene May Pierce, age 79, of Oakdale, CA, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Oak Valley Hospital, Oakdale, CA following a short illness.
Born December 26, 1932, in Sacramento, CA, she was the daughter of Adam Lawrence Gevock and Ethel Marie Messenger.  She was the wife of the late Stanley David Pierce, whom she married on July 14, 1951, in Galt, CA.  They were residents of Oakdale, CA for 44 years, having moved to Oakdale in 1968.
Arlene Pierce was a member of the Oakdale Christian Church where she was active in the Women's Ministry.  She was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother.
Arlene Pierce is survived by her children Deborah and Calvin, and her grandchildren Jennifer, Andrew, and Kevin.
There will be a viewing at Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapels, 830 West F. Street, Oakdale, CA on Monday, June 18, 2012, from 4 - 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 11 am, at the Oakdale Christian Church, 330 Maxwell Avenue, Oakdale, CA, 95361, with internment to follow in the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, 701 E. J Street, Oakdale, CA.  Pastor Garth Aderholt, visiting us from Shelter Cove Community Church, will be officiating.
Following the internment, the family will receive friends at the Oakdale Christian Church, 330 Maxwell Avenue, Oakdale, CA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oakdale Christian Church.
