Bill Simms Obituary

Bill Allen Simms, 80, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Modesto, CA.

Born on November 1, 1944, Bill graduated from Modesto High School (1962) and California State University at Stanislaus. He served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Canberra.

Bill was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of Wellspring Anglican Church. He found great joy in reading and studying his Bible and listening to Christian music. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life.

He cherished time spent with family and loved ones. Bill is survived by his son Bob Simms; sister Teri Patton; brother-in-law Ken Kinser (Christine Serrano); nephews Brian Ehrler and James Kinser; nieces Virginia (Ginger) Ehrler (Dan Sandoval), Laura Kinser, and Rebecca Espinoza.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Greta Simms; father Allen Simms; mother and stepfather Virginia and Bob Robison; and brother Chuck Robison.

Memorial service on Saturday, August 23 at 10:30 at Wellspring Anglican Church, 1548 Cummins Rd, Modesto, CA.

May memories of Bill bring comfort to those who knew him and may his legacy of faith continue to inspire.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community hospice.
