Blaine was born in Lehi, UT, on April 22, 1922, to Blaine M. and Ruby (Kirkham) Pack. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City on June 6, 1940, and attended the University of Utah where he received a civil engineering degree with a minor in literature.
Blaine served in WWII, earning a bronze star and 2 purple hearts. He retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Lt. Col. In 1965. He also retired from Modesto City Schools, Modesto, CA, in 1982 where he was the Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction.
Blaine was active in civic affairs and served on the Modesto City Board of Zoning from 1974-1982, He held a private pilot's license and enjoyed many hobbies including clock making, woodworking, automobiles, and reading.
Blaine is survived by his wife Lucille (Heninger) Pack. Blaine married Lucille in 1998. He is also survived by his son Blaine M. Pack (Jean); his daughter Leslie C. Brooks (Dennis); his sister Genele Busha; and his grandchildren Rebecca Brooks, Chris Pack, Colleen Pack, and Cory Pack.
Blaine was preceded in death by his first wife. Doris L. Pack.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Hearts for Hospice for their loving, tender care.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 11 a.m. at the Free Methodist Church at 1520 Rose Avenue.
