Dale Kivley Obituary

Dale E Kivley
May 25, 1941 - December 1, 2020
Modesto, California - Dale Edward Kivley, 79, passed away peacefully in his home on December 1, with his daughters by his side. He is survived by the mother of his children,JoAnn Kivley; his two daughters Shawn & Sonja (husband-Bill); and his two grandsons Tyler (wife-Emily) and Skyler. He was born & raised in Redding, CA; graduated from Shasta High, served 4 years in the Marines, and has lived in Santa Rosa, Fresno, & Modesto. In addition to his 40 years as a CPA, he loved soccer & was often found watching soccer in Spanish at home. Our family spent many road trips following Fresno State soccer teams when we lived in Fresno. Manchester United was his favorite professional team, which he passed on to his oldest grandson. He had a good sense of humor, loved his family & was proud of his grandsons. He enjoyed woodworking, a skill passed down from his father. Due to COVID-19 the family will be doing a small, private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Alzheimer's Association at alz.org, or Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org, on his behalf.

I have many many years of fond memories with Dale as my uncle. He was smart, had a quick wit, enjoyed yummy food, his family and his pets. My early memories are of classical guitar music, his cooking and his interest in higher education. His memory will be remembered by all of us in the Pratt and Hanlen clan.

I was sad to read that Dale passed. He was such a good friend in high school and after. He had the best smile ever and was always happy to see his classmates at reunions. He will certainly be missed at the next one.

We are very sorry to hear of Dale's passing. We were not just Dale's classmates, but always thought of Dale and his mother as friends as well as being neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
