DANIEL CORBOFF AUG. 8, 1926 - DEC. 7, 2006 Daniel Corboff, 80, of Hughson, passed away Thursday December 7, at Emanuel Medical Center.
He was born August 8, 1926 in San Francisco. Daniel served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. He and his wife, Mary came to Hughson in 1964 where they farmed. They started Dan's Distributing Company in 1978 and opened their first store in Modesto in 1979. Later they opened stores in Manteca and Sonora and today two of his children and two of his grandchildren are active in the business. He was a member of the Datsun Roadster Club.
He is survived by his wife Mary Corboff of Hughson; daughters: Carolyn Firpo of Hughson, Denise Casazza of Orange and Mary Curtis of Hughson; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1: 00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park.

I will always remember the days when both of our families moved from the bay area to the country to become peach farmers. It was the best move both of our dads made. You will always be remembered in my memories with all the fun times we had together. My thoughts and prayers are with the family always.
