DANIEL JAMES NAVA MAY 28, 1980 - MAY 9, 2004 A year has passed, but our loving memories of your short life stay strong within our hearts. A day does not go by that we do not remember your warm smile and sparkling eyes. As a small child, you were the quiet but creative one in the family. You were able to make up stories and draw anything that crossed your creative mind. As you grew, we enjoyed you athletic triumphs in BMX racing, baseball and track. Your speed and consistency always landed you the first batting position. Your love of animals also flowed into the family in the form of turtles, lizards, hamsters and snakes. As a teenager you focused on physical training and computers. Taking your little sister, Alicia, to run the MJC track and bleachers as you trained, has developed her ability for speed on the soccer field. Your knowledge of computers surpassed most of those who knew you, including your college instructors.
While we remember all of your accomplishments, we really focus on your kindness and compassion for others. You were the one to include children that did not fit into other groups. You were the loving big brother to include your little sister in activities. You were the loving son who always treated your parents with respect. While your death has left a permanent hole in our hearts, we are celebrating your birthday and what your short life brought to all of those who knew you. You chose the course of your life and are now joined with your loving grandparents in a peaceful home. You are gone, but not forgotten, and will be in our hearts forever.
Love, Mom, Dad, Carlos and Alicia www.modbee.com/obituaries

Dan was awesome. In 1997, junior year in HS, I felt like the outcast. Dan became my friend, and I was so happy. We had the same basic guitar, and close to the same skills. I went to his house once to jam. He was a great friend. My first ever concert was 9/1/98, me, & him 1998 Cal Expo Sac. Metallica. He helped a man get medical attention that had passed out. At DeVry we had contests on who could play the fastest. I always won, but knew that's all I had. I saw him at MCI a few years later and I hoped to talked to him soon. I love you, Dan. #. Thank you for being my friend.

But it seems that the LORD has blessed you all with a wonderful gift in your life even if it was a short time, I am sure Daniel was & is a blessing to your family.
