Modesto, California - Daryl Lance Dinelli was born December 4, 1942, in Sacramento, California to Domenick and Dolores Dinelli. He moved to Modesto in 1966. Daryl was a real estate pioneer. He worked for Paul Zagaris and then earned his real estate service credential in 1974 from The California Community Colleges. This allowed Daryl to share his passion by teaching night time real estate classes. Daryl went on to open Continental Real Estate and later became a custom builder, land developer, and real estate investor when he opened Dinelli Construction, Dinelli Properties, and was owner-partner of All American Car Wash.
Throughout his life, Daryl enjoyed being active. As a teenager in Sacramento, Daryl spent several summers as a lifeguard, and he enjoyed family gatherings on the beach in Santa Cruz. Daryl loved early morning runs down McHenry Ave. and always had a gym membership. He relished yearly family trips to Maui.
Daryl is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Dinelli, of Modesto, son, Lance Christopher Dinelli and daughter in law, Jennifer Dinelli of Monroe, New York, grandson, Matthew Lance Dinelli, Master of Arms – Petty Officer Second Class at Naval Weapons Station Earle, Colts Neck, New Jersey, grandson, Evan Joseph Dinelli (Grandpa's racecar driver), of Monroe, New York, and Sue Curtis, his former wife and mother of their son, Lance. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents Domenick, Dolores and his brother, Dennis.
Daryl has turned in his exercise clothes and is now free from pain. He can now enjoy all who have gone before him and those who will follow. A special thank you Karen Schmidt, Daryl's best orange peeler and the wonderful staff of Casa de Modesto.
Per Daryl's request, no services will be held at this time. A joint service will be held at the time of Mary's passing. In leu of flowers, donations can be made in Daryl's memory to Casa de Modesto, 1745 Eldena Way, Modesto, CA 95350 or Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA. 95356.
