Douglas Paul Mulnix

February 5, 1952 - April 20, 2024

Modesto, California - Douglas "Doug" Paul Mulnix, 72, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully at home on April 20th, 2024 after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on February 5th, 1952 in San Francisco, he had a passion for helping his students during his tenure as an English teacher, and was known for his larger-than-life personality and quick wit. He could often be found on the tennis courts, and occasionally doing back handsprings, much to the amusement of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Brenda, children Kirsten Scheele (Paul), James Ramsgard (Kim), David Mulnix (Carolyn), Kathleen Caeton (Clint), 2 stepchildren Josh and Sheri Bock, and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Hal and Betty Mulnix, and brothers Stephen, Gary, and Philip. Doug's family will hold a Celebration of Life, details TBA.
