I met Doug years ago when his buddy Dave got sick and he would frequently come to visit him in the hospital. He was always so kind and friendly and when I was looking to sell my car he helped me out and made the process easy as my guy had died after only 4 weeks of marriage. I will miss seeing him out in the community- he was such a kind person and will be missed !

Doug was a cool guy. Would always give you a great deal on a car. He would take the time to shoot the breeze with you about daily life. I am not surprised he knew the Lord. He was a good example of what a Christian should be. Gonna miss you Doug.

Oh Doug, you left us too soon. We shared so many good times, great meals, golf, football, and of course those epic gin rummy games. My heart is with your family, Doug Jr. David, Stan, and Dewyn, too. Life gets complicated. You lived a great one. I was lucky to enjoy being a small part of that life along with my David. Now you are both up there, with a few more of the 'guys' and I'm certain they welcomed you with open arms and asked if you brought cash for the gin game. How many cars between my sister (who sends her love, too) my kids, and friends? LOL. Many. You were always fair and honest. You were there for us when my mom was going through dementia, too. David and I talked often about our good times and travels together. Thanksgiving in New Orleans and our infamous Friday night table for six at Del Rio back in the old clubhouse. Good memories. Good times. To your loving family - Stan, Doug, David - my heart is with you. May you always remember the good. I hope to see you all on Tuesday as I'm flying in from Wisconsin to pay our respects. I know Dave would be there if he was still with us. God bless.
