E.B. Harris Obituary

E.B. Bud Harris
September 3, 1940 - January 17, 2022
Valley Springs, California - E.B. Bud Harris rode into the sunset January 17, 2022 (full wolf moon). Born in Brawley CA 1940 he lived 81 years. Bud passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton after suffering a stroke at home in Valley Springs. He was a horseshoer and cowboy all his life. He leaves in this world his devoted dogs, cats and loving wife Sandy Rogers; his daughter Shannon Klemm and grandson Michael Klemm of Oroville; and his son Brandon Maschal of San Lorenzo. Bud grew up in the desert around Yuma AZ taking to horses, a farrier by age 14. Right after high school 1959 he joined the US Navy peacetime service on aviation carriers near Hawaii and Japan until 1963. He returned to AZ for some college and rodeo. Bud moved to Alameda County in the late 60s where he worked as farrier, cowboy, ranch and rodeo hand and was District President of California High School Rodeo Association during the 70s. He loved camping and fishing trips. Bud is well known for his sense of humor and sharp wit, a very handsome Welshman, clever fun companion. He loved being a farrier driving his pickup around the valley always a toothpick in his mouth. Bud spent the 80s and 90s shoeing in the Oakdale area retiring in 2002. He was very much loved and will be missed forever. Services will be howling at the full moon.
