Ernest Evans Obituary

Ernest "Ernie" Evans
9/17/1932-12/7/2014
Ernest "Ernie" Evans has entered the arms of his Heavenly Father as of the seventh of December. He was a father, a brother, a son, and an all-around good guy that was loved and will be missed. He was in the army in the 40's. He loved serving his country and wanted to help wherever he could. He married the love of his life, Mary, February 16, 1958 and they laughed, loved, and raised four children. In his early years, he was President of the Orem Chamber of Commerce and was active in a few political campaigns as a volunteer through the years. He loved gardening, pottery, music, and anything academic. Those that knew him knew he could be stubborn, but he was always good for a laugh and a smile when one was called for.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Mary Evans, three children, John (Barbara), Steve, and Matthew (Kathy), two sisters, Muriel and Bobby Sue, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara, three of his sisters, and his mother, Jennie. He was loved and will be missed by all. A celebration of his life will be held at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship starting at 10:00am, December 20, 2014, and testimonies and remembrances will be shared by all.

A lot of my favorite family get togethers were with Dad, Mom, Uncle Bud and Aunt Mary! I only have good memories hearing them talking and laughing. I have a very vivid memory sitting in the kitchen on 5th West in Provo. You are loved Uncle Bud!

My "Uncle Bud" was my favorite uncle when I was growing up. I have many fond memories of visiting with him and Aunt Mary and their kids. I always looked up to him with fondness, and I regret not making more effort to try to stay in contact through the years. Knowing what kind of man he was, I'm certain that he will be missed by many, and my heart goes out to my Aunt Mary and his family and friends.

Ernie was a great friend, I learned a lot from him through the years. My sympathy goes to Mary and his children. He will be missed so much!
