George Washington Fredrico Guzman "Freddy" passed away on Aug. 19. He is survived by his dear wife of 64 years, Ruby; his three children, Debbie Guzman Arquiette of Riverbank, Ron Guzman (wife Sheryl) of Oakdale, and Dan Guzman (wife Tracee) of Modesto; grandchildren Krystyna, Nicholas, Jered, Ryan, and Travis; great grandchildren Makinzie, Kaelyn, and Hope.   Freddy, as the eldest of his brothers and sisters, is survived by brothers; Manuel "Abe" Guzman, Ralph Guzman, and Tony Guzman; sister, Jenny Holmes, and half-brothers, Carrol "Douglas" Lammey and Alfred Lammey.Freddy started at Tri-Valley Growers 1944, served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 as a Medical Tech, then back to work at Tri-Valley Growers Plant #2.  While at Tri-Valley, Freddy held a number of jobs there before becoming a Foreman and then head of Maintenance, a position he was proud of and that he held for many years until the canning part of the plant closed in 1998. Freddy stayed on as Plant Manager, when the cold storage was running until 2000, working there for a total of 56 years. Freddy enjoyed dancing, camping, boating, traveling with his wife, family, and friends, but most of all, he truly enjoyed when all of his family was around him.
Graveside services will be held at Lakewood Memorial, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA at 10:00 am on Tuesday August 26, 2014.  The Family asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to Hospice.
