Dear Fred, You will be sorely missed. Really enjoyed time at UCSF teaching students together. We will keep memories of you, a wonderful person, forever.

I have Dr. Mantz to thank for introducing me to aviation as a small boy, and to oral surgery during my high school years. He was a mentor, personally and professionally, and a great flying companion. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for Beverly, Kristin, Kevin, and Brian.

I will always think of Dr. Mantz's warm smile, great faith, and positive outlook. He was a true educator and UCSF students are better because of him!

I will miss my fantastic brother! May God bless him as he rests from his work here on earth! Fred loved his God, his church and his family. I love flying with him and sometimes competitively. But we always had fun

This morning I was greatly saddened when I learned about the death of Fred. Not only were we classmates but we became close friends, too. I remembered when we had Chemistry and Lab classes at Lodi Academy. I could sensed that he was truly on his way to something big because of his desires in the medical field and his sincere devotion for the Lord. He was always so cheerful in helping others.
Betty and I pray that the Lord give strength to you, Bev. And may the Arms of the Lord and his angels comfort you and your family.
My deepest sympathy,
Edwin Gaede

It is with a sad heart to hear of Freds death. I have many good memories during school at Lodi Academy with him. He always had a smile for everyone and he was such a good friend to help me with Spanish and other studies, he was so smart and I struggled so much. He truly had the spirit of the Lord in him early in life and shared it in so many ways. My heart goes out to the Family during this Holiday Season, God be with each and every one of you. Fred left us much to remember him with. Sincerely Karen Sorensen (Masters)
