Hazel Jones Obituary

HAZEL JONES AUG 21, 1910 - MAR 2, 2010 Hazel Jones passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Bethany Home at the age of 99. Born to George and Myrtle, on August 21, 1910, in Council Bluff Iowa. Hazel graduated from Everett Washington High School in 1929. Following her graduation she worked in the high school office as a secretary, followed by the American Fruit Growers. Hazel married Fred H. Jones in 1935 and became a homemaker. Hazel is survived by her son Donald & Cathy Jones of Manteca; grandchildren Craig & Gina Jones, and Michelle & Tim Kovacs both of Manteca; great grandchildren Brett and Austin Kovacs, and Sienna and Corrine Jones of Manteca; sister Iva Lutthans of Colorado Springs; nephew Ron Lutthans of Florida and niece Jan Lutthans of Colorado Springs. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Fred H. Jones, brother in law Vern Lutthans, daughter in law Kathy R. Jones, and great grandson Micah A. Jones. Hazel enjoyed her church family, friends, traveling the world, frequent bus trips to Reno, working in her hard during her free time, and spending time with her grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Hazel's visitation will be on Friday, March 5 from 1-5 pm at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Her service will be on Saturday, March 6 at 11 am at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel with burial following at Parkview Cemetery.
