Kelsy Jee Hee Ramos

Newman, California - Kelsy was born in Seoul, South Korea, on June 19, 1980 and was adopted in September, 1988 along with her two younger sisters, Keena and Kiley, into the Ramos family. As her loved ones often say, "She wasn't born to us, but she was born for us."

She lived in Newman, California and graduated from Orestimba Highschool in 1999 and Fresno State in 2004. She is survived by her loving parents, Russell and Teri Ramos and her siblings: Keena, Kiley, Ryan and Kenneth. The bond between the sisters was especially close. It was filled with joy, chaos, laughter and an unwavering sense of sisterhood. She was one of 18 grandchildren to Louie and Ann Ramos, Kelsy also shared deep love and friendship with her brothers-in-laws, Warren Lee, Briner Anviyeh and Tyler Brazil. She adored her nieces and nephews: Quinn, Aubree, Charlotte, Adeline, Noah and Uriyah. Her role as "Minga" (godmother) to Adeline was a cherished one, full of sweet treats, silliness and unconditional love. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Caroline Perry and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kelsy was also a dedicated and loving maternal figure to Max and Penelope, whom she helped raise and loved as her own. Her impact on their lives was profound, and her love for them was limitless.

A passionate and hard-working nurse, Kelsy managed and operated two assisted living facilities in Turlock and Newman. She was a fierce advocate for her residents always making sure they were seen, heard and cared for with the kind of compassion only she could give.

Kelsy was known for her radiant smile, her larger-than-life personality, and her ability to make anyone laugh. She never left the house without her makeup, and she loved getting dressed up any chance she had. But beneath the glam and humor was a heart that carried the weight of the world with quiet strength. She cared deeply for her family, her residents, her friends and even strangers. She brought joy wherever she went, and her absence leaves a silence that echoes across everyone who knew her.

She was goofy, loyal, generous, protective and unforgettable. Kelsy's laugh was contagious. Her love was fierce. Her memory is eternal.

A funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the St Joachims Catholic Church in Newman. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery.
