Jane Butler Obituary

Jane Butler
June 2, 1926 - June 22, 2021
Modesto, California - Jane Butler, at the age of 95, went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2021.
She was our mother, and she was a woman of all seasons. She loved people, loved animals, loved her country home and her yellow roses. Most of all, she loved her children: Susie Keckler (Mike), Julee Gilbert (Mike), Danny Heitman, Matt Schrader (Kim), Jana Ollar (Randy). She treasured her nieces, nephews and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was known by many as "Gramma Jane."
She was vibrant, colorful, full of life and always active. Throughout her life she was a cowgirl, a model, she owned her own construction company, offered paralegal services, and finally enjoyed her western art gallery, closing it at age 89. Her zest for life defied the "norm."
She had a compassionate and caring heart for those in need. She modeled giving so well for all of us. Mom never met a stranger, just "friends she didn't know yet" and she was a lifelong sweet friend to so many.
Mom was blessed with a beautiful smile and reminded us regularly, "Be Happy." We will miss her dearly.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, sister, brother, son Mark Schrader and her grandson David Schrader.
There will be a private family memorial. Remembrances may be sent to Casa De Modesto. The wonderful team at Casa provided gentle loving care to Mom in her final years.
