Jason Traphagan Obituary

Jason was born in Ceres, California to Al and Susan Traphagan. He lived in Escalon all of his childhood. He was a member of the FFA at Escalon High School where he graduated in 1978. In 1987, Jason married Marie Langley and they moved to Snelling, California to start a family. Later, they purchased their first home together in Escalon where Jason resided for twenty three more years. Upon moving back to Escalon, Jason acquired a job with Kings County Truck Lines, later purchased by Ruan Trucking and remained one of their top drivers until his death. Jason was proudly named Driver of the Year for his region in 2014.
Jason was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He spent all of his free time cleaning, customizing and riding his 1992 Harley Davidson which he jokingly named Pig Pen.
On April 1, 2015, Jason lost his nine month battle with cancer. He was determined to fight to the end, and that is exactly what he did. Jason was 55 years old.
Jason is preceded in death by his brother, Troy. He is survived by his parents, Al and Susan Traphagan, daughter Amanda Swanson (Dirk), son Brandon Traphagan, brother and sister-in-law Rick and Vicky Martin, loving family members and countless friends.
Jason will be laid to rest on Friday, April 17th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
