I have the fondest memories working with Linda at the fair. She just had a way of dealing with the exhibitors that worked, and kept me entertained. We had the best laughs in the office! After retiring she would faithfully call in on the day entries closed - just to let us know she was thinking about us. To this day, I always think of her on May 20th - closing day for many years!
Troy and I enjoyed the 50th anniversary party. I loved the stories that were shared by all.... Of a life filled with children, friends, challenges, fun and love. I was so pleased to be a part of the celebration.
When I last saw Linda at my mother's memorial service, it was so comforting. She looked great, walking with Augie - the greatest companion a woman could ask for. Bless her heart, she called several months later, just to let me know she was thinking about all of us.
Life threw her many challenges, but she took them on, and lived her life to the fullest. To you Linda, I toast with a bottle of Cosmo's wine!
My heart goes out to all of your family - may you all find peace in your fond memories of Linda; wife, mom, oma, sister, auntie and dear friend. Though I will not be at the service, I know I will be missing many more great stories, and seeing the love that surrounded her.
With love,
Susie
