Norman was the best Scoutmaster possible, and a truly wonderful person. I have always respected and appreciated all he did for all us kids back in the 1940's and '50's. Now I am almost 71 years of age, and he pinned on my Eagle in 1952 as I recall. We had a ton of fun, and learned a lot from Norman, and leaders Elmo Kellogg, and Bill Kline.
My best wishes to the Frantz family. Barry, we haven't seen each other since probably 1953 or so ?
Norman, you did it right. Always the gentleman, always faithful to our christian principles and to your family.
Godspeed !!

My heart goes out to the Frantz family, I spent a lot of my younger years around Norman, Ellen and Lindy..... Norman and my dad were my "Ideal men" and I thought they were the best guys in the world. I remember talking with Norman about some things I didn't feel I could talk about with my dad. His wisdom, patience and reverence were to be modeled after..... He was a terrifc Scoutmaster and everytime I see a Boy Scout Troop, I think of Norman, one time on a hike to Waterhouse Lake, he told us there was coke machine at the lake, just keep hiking and we'll get there. No coke machine! but he got us there and back, we even put out a forest fire to boot. And I could never figure how he could be a painter and never have a lot of paint on his clothes, I think that Heaven is getting a new paint job right now! . . . . . . . . . . . . . God bless Ellen, Lindy & Lois and the rest of the Frantz family. . Always a friend, Donnie
