Patricia Atnip Obituary

Patricia Ann Atnip

August 30, 1943 - February 3, 2025

Belmont, California - Patricia Ann Atnip (nee Mitchell), passed away peacefully with her children at her side on February 3, 2025, at the age of 81. She was the beloved mother to three children, Doyle (Laurie) Atnip of Modesto, CA, Kim (Michael) Collins of Belmont, CA, and Kelli (Mark) Kennedy of Albany, OR; grandmother (Nana) to eight grandchildren: Justin, Trevor, Grace, Sean, Riley, Cody, Nicholas, and Chloe and a great grandmother to Marshall and Melody. She is survived by her sister, Caroline Rae Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelli Kennedy, her husband Orville Austin Atnip, and both of her parents, Letha and Albert Mitchell.

Pat ran a daycare center from her home for many years and left an imprint on the lives of countless children before she "retired" and worked in retail, where she made lifelong friends. After retirement she swam on a regular basis at the senior pool, was a member of the Gallo Center for the Arts, and was an avid movie goer. She had a love for entertainment, adventure and travel, though her favorite place was always Disneyland.

But without a doubt, Nana found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pat could make a friend anywhere she went. She had a huge smile and the best laugh; spreading love, joy and kindness wherever she was. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in our lives, but she will continue to be loved and live forever in our hearts.
