Turlock, California - Sin Quon "Connie" Yee passed on February 11, 2022, at home, of complications from cancer.
Sin Quon was born on January 11, 1937, in the village of Bok Shik in Zhong Shan city, Guang Dong province of China, the youngest of three children. Her parents were father, Kam Yet Yung and mother, Mo Fong Yung. She was raised in the area of a nearby village, San Huang, and in 1955 her family moved to Hong Kong, China. She married Bill Young Yee in 1957 and gave birth to Danny in 1958. She immigrated to the United States, along with Bill and Danny, on September 9, 1960, where both she and Bill worked at the family restaurant, Wah-Q, owned by her father-in-law, George Yee.
In 1973, Bill and Sin Quon Yee took over the ownership of Wah-Q restaurant until their retirement in October 2001. In her early years, Sin Quon started as a waitress, and then gradually became a cook alongside her husband. She also loved to travel, went on cruises, and enjoyed recreational casino gaming. Overall, it was the cooking that kept her busy throughout the years.
Sin Quon was preceded in death by her father Kam Yet Yung and mother Mo Fong Yung; father-in-law George and mother-in-law Lum Wai King; sister-in-law Beverly Yung and brother-in-law Wor Kwun Lee.

Sending you all condolences. She was truly a wonderful person. Always greeted me with a warm genuine smile and after I retired I still recall her sweet demeanor. I was a grocery clerk for 30 years and always looked forward to seeing her
