Steve James Rose, 68 passed away at his home in Atwater on Sunday, Dec 16, 2018.
A native of Modesto Steve was the owner & operator of Agape Heating & Air in Atwater for 20 years. Steve enjoyed fly-fishing but, what he loved most was studying the bible and spending time with his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his Father, Mal Rose and his mother, Pona Calfcalas Rose and his brother, Richard Rose.
Steve leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Martha Rose of Atwater, children, Geneva Rose of Modesto, James Rose and Misty Rose both of Merced, brother, Chris Rose of Modesto, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Grace Fellowship Four Square Church in Merced.
The care of Mr. Rose was entrusted to Evins Funeral Home, 1109-5th Street, Modesto, CA

to the funniest cool guy ever ! i remember all the concerts we all put on at the california ball room. we had great times at all the concerts we would go to in san francisco when it only cost 3.75 to get in.you were a great brother inlaw and a friend who let me hang out with the older kids. tell horn we say hey ! love and hugs to all missing you. its the hardest way to get another angel. I know you are watching over all your loved ones. Peace xxx

Steve I know your in Heaven with Mom, Dad and Richard.I was blessed to be your cousin and you always were kind to me. I often recall, think about the stories you would tell me from fishing and hanging out with cousin Tony. You were not Steve you were Roscoe ! Tony loved you and your two are together again ! You took care of your MOM and Chris and you will be rewarded in Heaven for that. God Bless Marty and your children and grandchildren, May your memory be eternal.
