Timothy Blevins Obituary
Family and friends may visit from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Rupp Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Larry Detruf will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born April 22, 1966, he is the son of James H. and Barbara A. (Smith) Blevins. Tim graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1984. He worked for Mazda at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant as a painter for 13 years and was a member of UAW Local 387. Tim loved animals, caring for his three dogs: Chico, Muffin and Jojo and his two cats, Angel and Kiki. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time outdoors enjoying all that nature had to offer.
To cherish his memory, Tim leaves his loving Mother, Barbara; and two siblings, Thomas "Dale" (Penny) Blevins of Hebron, Indiana and Barbara "Lynne" (John) Johnson of Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his father, James; one brother, James Michael Blevins; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Geneva Smith; and paternal grandparents, Fred and Opal Blevins.
Memorial contributions in Tim's honor are suggested to a local Alcoholics Anonymous or Monroe County Humane Society.
