Timothy Simon Obituary
Born at Herrick Hospital, Tecumseh, MI, on Dec. 16, 1967, he was the youngest son born to the late Bernard Simon and Janice (Dentel) Simon. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1985 along with his best buddies, Tim Rogers and Paul Harnica, they both spent time with him on Saturday evening.
He first worked at Guardian Glass, then for Simon Excavating & Paving with his brother, Mike, who passed away in 2006. He then started his own business, Simon Construction Co., and worked part time for the Mariot Hotel Chain. He married Denise (Gauss) Simon on Sept. 29, 1992, at St. Irene's Parish.
Tim loved to spend time at Simons Park, fishing at Lake Erie, and he had a love for people. He made you laugh and was truly the life of any party. He was handy at almost everything. If it was broken, he could fix it. He also liked farming.
Surviving are siblings, sister Cathy (Tom) Zochowski & brother Tom Simon, mother, Janice (Dentel) Simon of Dundee, nephew Tommy Simon Jr. & nieces, Danielle Zochowski, Stephanie (Matthew) Garner & Chelsea Simon. Grand nieces, Lotus (9) and Eva (7 mo.) and a grand-nephew, Colton, (4). Uncles and Aunts Josephine Dentel, Phyllis (Norbert) Sedelbauer, Rich (Janet) Dentel, Bob Dentel, Ruth Stoianowski, Jim (Sue) Dentel, Dean Dentel, Jean Rorke, Bernadine Nusbaum & Phyllis Simon.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife Denise (Gauss) Simon, his grandparents Nicholas & Julia Simon, Harold & Florence Dentel, his father Bernard Simon, brother Mike Simon & infant brother Billy, aunts & uncles, Harold, Maynord and Barb, Cletus, and Jim Simon, Eustelle and Marion Snyder, Irene and Al Kehrer, John Dentel, Charles and Sharon (Dentel) Sullins, Larry Rorke, Nancy Dentel and most recent Paul Stoianowski.
Friends may call at Capauls Funeral Home in Ida, MI, on Friday August 17, 2018, from 2-8 PM.
There will a service at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, on Saturday August 18, 2018, at 11 AM. Pastor Harvey "Oke" Maertin, of New Life Church, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ida.
Memorial contributions can be made to Dundee Senior Center or the family.
