Dearest Silverman Family, I do not know you nor did I know your daughter, your sister. I want to say that the obituary was beautifully written, for a beautiful young lady. It is a difficult task to write a memorial in spite of grief. Please know that through your difficult days and hours and weeks and years, the words touched all who read them without even knowing her or you. Peace,Donna Muri

Silverman Family,
You do not know me, I rarely read the entire WSJ, but today for some reason I took the time to read and was very saddened and touched by the memory of your daughter in the obituary. I can't stop thinking about your tragic loss of a beautiful daughter, sister, friend and incredible inspiration to many people, They are no appropriate words to comfort you and your family, I just wanted you to know how touched I was reading about this incredible young lady taken tragically from this world too soon. If she were my daughter I would have been so proud of her. I am so sorry for your loss, what an inspiration to us all.

My friend died, someone I came to know, a girl who had every right as I to bear her soul. I don't know why she left, but she packed her bones and breath, leaving behind memories painted with a friend who won't forget. I lost my friend you guys, someone close to me died, you think you hold a grudge for those you love? Get in line. Another soul for Christ, He picks the perfect ones, I know we didn't talk much in the end but I wanted to say, with love, that a spirit like yours helped me through each and every day. This girl I once knew, and smoked with and laughed with, and talked about the past with, and discussed the many lashes, that life gives so freely, I wish she could see me, for I have lost a friend, but I'll meet her when I'm dreaming, I won't let my friends go so easy. No, I won't give them to death, I'll trap them here beneath my chest. For the pounce of the panther, a woman I won't forget, oh beautiful Samantha, your name is surely blessed. Amen

I did not know Samantha personally but I am best friends of the McAlpin family from Brea, California. Thadd McAlpin is the son of Brad McAlpin who was a very dear friend of Samantha. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Thadd McAlpin and the entire Silverman family. Before this tragic accident I heard so many great things about Samantha from Thadd that I felt I already knew her. Once I read the beautiful obituary written by her brother Michael Silverman and saw the photo gallery I now see what a wonderful person Samantha was. Words can not express how sorry I am to her family and all of her friends.

Sam was one of the very first friends that I made at the University of Arizona in the fall of 2013. We were in the same Psychology class, and she was the first friendly face that stood out to me in a class of 500+ students. I sat down next to Sam, we struck up a conversation and the rest was history. Sam and I became fast friends. Sam and I used to attend weekly spinning classes at the UofA recreation center. Sam was one of those people that just made you smile. She had such a bright energy that would light up any room. If you were having a bad day, she was always the first person to greet you with a warm hug and knew just what to say to make you laugh. Sam shared with me some of her struggles with classes and with education but she was such a positive person. She found a way to put a positive spin even on her own hardships. Throughout college, Sam and I lost touch on a day to day basis but we remained friends on social media. When I heard this devastating new I was absolutely crushed. The world has truly lost an incredible human being that brought so much light, love and compassion to those around her. I wish that I could talk to her one more time and tell her how much our short friendship meant to me and to let her know how highly I thought of her. Sam, I am praying for you and your family right now. I want you to know that you are loved and you will not be forgotten.

Sweet Samantha. I remember the first day we met so vividly. We were accidentally wearing the same outfit to the first day of rush at University of Arizona and instantly became great friends. Such a sweet and bubbly girl, your light has always shined bright from within you and I miss you very much. You were always so beautiful, inside and out, with such motivation and inspiration.
