We are deeply saddened by the loss of my husband, and our father, Sebastian G. Davi (Buster) who passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side, following an extended illness on October 5, 2017. He was born in Monterey to Guido A. Davi and Vita Davi on September 12, 1941.
He attended local elementary schools and graduated from Monterey High School. While at Monterey High he played football until he sustained a kidney injury. He attended and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in business. After obtaining his California insurance and real estate brokers licenses he joined the family business, serving clients in both Monterey and San Francisco.
Sebastian was an excellent chef and enjoyed cooking for his family on holidays and for friends on numerous occasions. He was meticulous, using only the freshest ingredients. He always left the clean up to others. "Typical Chef" He would spend hours teaching his daughter and grandchildren how to make homemade ravioli's.
He was also a creative person designing and collaborating the construction of his home in Monterey.
Sebastian was a sailor at heart. He loved being on the water in his sail boat. As a member of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club he and his crew dominated the 1987, 1988 and 1989 B fleet Winter Series coming in First place all three years, on the Monterey Bay, racing on his 30' sail boat called "Manula". He and his loving wife Mickey enjoyed bareboat sailing in Tonga and the Caribbean and vacationing in Hawaii.
He was instrumental in establishing the first Pebble Beach Rugby Tournaments while a member of the Monterey Peninsula Jaycees'.
Sebastian and Mickey Jones met in 1984 while on a sailing date and were married in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Mickey, his mother Vita Davi, daughter Jaedra Davi Luke, son Brandon Harris & daughter-in-law Tiffany Harris, grandchildren, Brianna, Victoria and Kyleigh Harris, brothers Anthony (Anita) and John G. Davi (Barbara), sister Rose Davi and many nieces and nephews.
Sebastian was an active member of the Monterey Peninsula Independent Insurance Agents Association, California Association of Realtors, Monterey Peninsula Board of Realtor Association, Monterey Chamber of Commerce, Monterey Peninsula Jaycees, Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club and other community organizations.
A Celebration of Life is planned in November 2017. Donations may be made in Sebastian's memory to: The Kinship Center, 124 River Rd, Salinas, CA 93908.

I have very fond memories of 'Buster'. We were good friends in high school and he was always fun to be around. His smile and laugh were infectious.

To the Davi family:
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sebastian. I was fortunate in meeting him while working for Alfred Spallino who owned the Bachelor Shop and the Coachmen. He would stop by the store to hear a joke or just to say hello.
He was always kind and friendly like all the other Davi family members.
My prayers and sympathy goes to the entire Davi family during this very sad time.

So very sorry to learn this! I knew him as Buster, and over the years running into him, I greeted him as Buster, I mean Sebastian, and we would laugh heartily! I adored him as he was such a gentleman..he adored his mother, whom I shared such joy with..And Mickey, he loved you so much..may he Rest In Peace and to your beautiful family, my heartfelt condolences.
